This is a similar question to the one posed by Dave Dykstra a few days ago. I have an AT&T 6386 and a MicroSoft Bus mouse with the InPort IC. I just installed SVS Rel. 3.2 and SimulTask-386 (I want my DOS applications also) on this machine along with many applications and utilities that I use daily. I currently do not have X Windows and FACE is too slow, so I only need my mouse for DOS applications. I used the Direct Device Access utilities to create /dev/mse and the appropriate entries in vpixdevs. When I boot DOS and install the mouse driver it returns the message that the interrupt jumper is missing. I tried both IRQ 2 and 5, without success. Does anyone know how I can get this thing working in this configuration? The AT&T Hot Line said that it was impossible, but I thought the purpose of this DDA package was to use add in boards. Can anyone help? I don't like the Logitech mouse. Mark L.
