So, I'm done with finals, but my car refuses to drive me home. Here's the problem: The car starts up just fine (even in Ann Arbor's lovely winter) but dies after it goes a few miles. I have determined that there is no gas getting into the carburetor. I have replaced the oil pressure switch and the fuel filter. But as soon as the engine gets warm, no gas. The radiator is full, as are the gas tank and the oil pan. I recently put a bottle of dry gas into the tank. I'm guessing the problem is electrical in nature; that there is something getting hot and cutting off the juice to the fuel pump. Or maybe the problem is the car being a 1973 Vega. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice anyone has. You'll have my undying gratitude, but the auto parts stores and the towing services have all my money. Thanks, (hopefully) jd USENET: ...!sb1!mb2c!uofm-cv!jd CSNet: jd@umich-ciprnet Arpa: jd.umich-ciprnet@udel-relay
