Does 386/ix or any other 386 Unix vendor have any X servers for DGIS or TIGA compatible Hi-res Graphics boards. It sounds like one should be able to write just one server for each standard which should run on a bunch of compatible boards. Or, am I missing something. Any one have one in the works. Thanks in advance for the info. - Ashutosh Tiwary tiwary@hpnmd.hp.com

Graphic Software Systems (Beaverton, Oregon, no, I don't have phone number here in my office) offers GSS/386 for ISC 2.0.2. I use it on a NEC MVA 1024 DGIS compatible card. I don't know a lot about the X server; maybe it is customized only to DGIS and the MVA 1024. But it does seem to work. -- Ira Baxter

AGE did the port for us, and it's a nice one. Works with our TI 34010 boards, either 1Kx768 or 1280x1024, 4 or 8 bits deep (16 or 256 colors).
