. Having only moved to central New Jersey a couple of years ago, I'm not sure how old this custom is, but many of the residents around here have this strange habit of decorating their cars for Christmas by tying an evergreen wreath, usually with a big red bow, and usually a natural one, to the grille of their car or truck. While cute, it seems a little bizarre. Is this an extremely localized phenomenon, (I never saw it in Pittsburgh!), or do millions of people across the country have this habit? Any comments? I saw a person who had a wreath on the front of their car here in Columbus, but only once. It did have the big red bow... Paul W. Placeway The Ohio State University IRCC (UUCP: cbosgd!osu-dbs!paul)

----------------------------------- A few days before Christmas I noticed a semi with a large wreath on the front grill--with a couple dozen small blinking lights scattered throughout. An incredibly silly idea, but so well done... -Ed decvax!randvax!edhall

Hook up Christmas-tree lights to your car, its fun.
