A clarification is in order. I posted a followup regarding buying unix for the home. I guess I came of sounding like a total unix snob or something. This is not how i meant that responce to sound. The poster was saying that he used unix on the job and was thinking of getting unix for the home, *but* didn't want a lot of sysadmin headaches and did not want to have a lot of problems with dos apps that didn't work right. Certainly normal desires. Actually I lessened the degree of anxiety a bit, I belive the idea was that he didn't want *any* problems as he had enough of them at work. So my advice was (heavy with sarcasm) just use dos. That is all I meant. My sarcasm reflected or tried to imply that his lack of desire to take risks was not in keeping with his stated abilities, job title etc. Tim Brown | Computer Connection | (attmail or uunet)!comcon!tim |
