[comp.unix.i386] 2 X-Servers/monitors under 386/ix?

blume@netmbx.UUCP (Heiko Blume) (01/31/90)

first some general info,
one xserver is responsible for one display.
a DISPLAY is a keyboard + mouse + one or more screens.
for example blorp:0.0 is the first screen of the first display
on host blorp. blorp:4.3 would be the fourth display, third screen, etc.
so the support for more screens has to be built into one server.
unfortunately i don't know if the isc servers support radically different
screens. supporting a ega and vga card sounds ok, but a vga and a t8 ?!
