I've just had my '77 Z28 resprayed and would appreciate advice
on how long I should wait (for the paint to harden) before putting
wax on the car.The paint was a metallic silver enamel.

It is O.K. to wash it before then but use mild soap and lots of water. If the car is waxed too soon moisture that was in the paint when it was applied will be trapped and the paint will crack. I am surprised that they didn't tell you all of this when you got your car painted. hp-pcd!dhk
