[comp.unix.i386] VGA cards for X

bfl250@csc.anu.oz (02/15/90)

We are running Interactive's X window system (Version 1.1) with a Tseng Labs
EVA/1024 card. It is capable of 1024x768 resolution but we have to run it as
standard VGA as it isn't listed as one of the supported cards. Does anyone
know if it is compatible with any of the cards which are supported? We would
like to be able to take advantage of the extra resolution.
Thanks in advance,

Since Orchid Prodesigner VGA card is based on Tseng lab chip set,
I think you can use Orchid Prodesigner driver to get 1024x768. Besure
to check if EVA/1024 have a tseng lab suface mount chip on it. I think it
does have the chip. Phil
