[comp.unix.i386] Kernel Panics on Interactive 386

krupczak@secola.Columbia.NCR.COM (Bobby Krupczak) (03/23/90)

Hi!

I am monkeying with kernel device drivers on a 386 Interactive box.

As expected, I am panic trapping the kernel. The Interactive Unix
docs say next to nothing regarding the panic messages and info that
is given.

Does anyone know where to find this secret information, or does anyone
know what the various info mean?

Thanks

Bobby

A good place to start would be to get yourself a copy of
Intel's Programers reference for the 80386. This will
explain the error code which the panic produces, and explain
which register is which on the register dump.
