[comp.unix.i386] IDE drives and wd1003 standard

allred@ut-emx.UUCP (Kevin L. Allred) (05/09/90)

IDE drives and very cheap IDE host adaptors (I saw something like $10
with a drive) are becoming more common; so I am curious; does an IDE
drive appear to the bus to be a wd1003 interface such that a standard
wd1003 driver would work with the drive, or is a special (perhaps
nonexistent) driver needed?
