Here in the San Joaquin Valley of California we get some peculiar, very dense fog in the winter (known as Tule fog) which in some years shuts down traffic on many roads except for convoys led by CHPs. Fog lights are definitely a win. I find little difference between white and yellow--when they are properly installed low to the ground. Even with very dense fog, due to thermal differences there appears to be a band of lower density fog, or no fog at all near the ground. If your lights are in this zone you get vastly improved lighting over conventional headlights. I now have Bosch lights on both cars--the lens on them appears to give a significantly better pattern than the Sears lights I have used previously (altho at significantly higher prices!). -- William C.
