I am attempting to install ISC Unix 2.2 on an HP Vectra 386/25C with an Orchid ProDesigner Plus. I am using an Adaptec 1542A SCSI controller and an HP 330mb SCSI drive. I first booted a dos diskette and ran a low level format on the HP drive, no problem. When attempting to run the installation program, after booting from the ISC 'boot' disk, it then prompts you to insert the 'install' disk. After inserting the 'install' disk and hitting RETURN, the system hangs. Does anyone know if this combination will work? I have disabled cacheing, extended bios functions, etc.. Nothing seems to change. Please send your suggestions via email. I will post a follow-up if interest demands. I was told that the entire HP Vectra series will not work with 2.2. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you do find a fix please drop me a note. Bob ...nstar!towers!robert
