tr@samadams.princeton.edu (Tom Reingold) (07/07/90)

Who ported unix to the 386? I am talking about the one AT&T sells?
Is it by Interactive systems?

(As long as no one else is answering this...)

Yes, Interactive Systems (in Santa Monica, CA) ported UNIX System V.3.0
to the 386 under contract to AT&T. 386/ix (currently known as
INTERACTIVE UNIX for the 386) is based on this port. Our current UNIX
version is 2.2, which corresponds to System V.3.2 (with ISC value-added).
