[comp.unix.i386] hp150 as remote console on sco unix 3.2

I wish to thank everyone that has sent me suggestions concerning my problem
with using a speech device with my vectra and sco unix.
Unfortunately, i wasn't able to respond directly to some, because
the mail kept bouncing.
I have another question however.
I am trying to use an hp150 as a remote console
(by using the systty parameter in /etc/default/boot.
This works just fine except in some of the sysadmsh
full screen programs.
The programs keep saying "<f3> for a list" or something simular.
also, the programs seem to be expecting me to move the highlighted area
by using the cursor keys.
The programs do not respond to the function keys of the hp150 or the cursor
keys.
I have looked at the man pages trying to find some way of translating the
keys of the hp150 into something the programs can recognize.
i have looked at mapchan to see if it would solve this problem.
Am I looking at the right stuff?
How does one make the system recognize any kind of remote terminal as a
fully functioning console?
I can use some of the programs for the most part, like custom, by typing the
first character of the selection so it will become highlighted. but the
use of the <f3> stuff has me stumped.

As always, i appreciate any and all help.
