I have a "Turnpoint systems, inc" 80386-25 motherboard that fails the aha1542-a first party dma test. My vendor has of course simplified my various rantings about this lack of support (of the first party dma) to something along the lines of "Of course this mb supports disks". Sigh. He has suggested a molification of my irritation with a mb swap; a "Data Comp Tricell (6-layer)" board for the "Turnpoint Systems x'golden (4-layer)" board that i currently have. Before i go to the trouble of ripping things apart, the down time while boards are passing each other in the mail, etc., does anyone know for sure whether or not the datacomp board will or will not support first party dma? (Has anyone even heard of either of these two boards at all? (:-)) derek -- Derek Terveer det@hawkmoon.MN.ORG
