[comp.unix.i386] where can I get the FAS serial driver?

rk@theep.boston.ma.us (Robert A. Kukura) (07/20/90)

Where can I get the source for the FAS serial driver? I have internet
FTP access an can do anonymous uucp. Or, if its not too big, could
someone email it to me?

Thanks,

Hi! Juste to be practical... Do WE have a ftp site where we
can send useful stuff like this one. I will be less costly
to have it on some ftp's than call a BBS (mostly long
distance). I got the FASY driver (its fresh written) from
the BBS number send some articles above, its 61k long.

Yes, but many folks do not have access to ftp. In fact, I get around
4-5 calls a day from folks downloading fasy206.tar.Z from both this
newsgroup and the fidonet UNIX conference.

Would you (and others) please stop calling it `fasy'? I decided to name
it `FAS 2.06' and that's the name it should be distributed under
(`fas206.tar.Z' would be appropriate for the archive name).

I really can't think of any reason why some people want to name it
differently. Folks, this will only confuse newcomers. So stick with
its original name.
