durian@boulder.Colorado.EDU (DURIAN MICHAEL BLAINE) (07/28/90)
I originally posted this in comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc and as per Tim Melton's advice, I'm posting this in comp.unix.i386 to, "watch the opinions start to fly!" I'm not sure that this is the best place to post this, but I think it's a start. At my job, we've got a couple of compaq 386s and we are getting sick of having to use DOS with them. What types of unix are available for 386 systems? What are the pluses and minuses of each? Which do you prefer? And what type of cost are we talking about? Any help would be appreciated. thanks mike -- durian@tramp.colorado.edu {ncar, ucar, rutgers, big_places}!boulder!tramp!durian
