[comp.unix.i386] does uucp grading work in esix?

det@hawkmoon.MN.ORG (Derek E. Terveer) (07/27/90)

I have tried to specify grading in the Systems file with a line like:

foobar Any/N

but to no avail. It sends files of grade "d" (news) anyway. Is grading not
implemented in esix 5.3.2.-C?

Not unless they implemented it themselves or grabbed Peter Honeyman's
changes to HDB to implement it.

The only grading supported by the versions of HDB distributed by AT&T as
part of S5R3.x source distributions is the ability to specify a grade
for a job and have it transferred, in a given UUCP session, before jobs
of lower grades are transferred; the ability to limit the transfer of
some grades to specific times is *not* implemented.
