[comp.unix.i386] Does anyone have dial-up SL/IP running?

gvokalek@augean.ua.OZ.AU (George Vokalek) (07/28/90)

There was some talk recently about SL/IP on PC/Unix boxes. Does
anyone have SL/IP working over a dial-up line? Or even over a
permanent serial line?

Is SL/IP software available for ISC 2.2? If so, from where?

This reminds me, I want to ask, How does SLIP work? *Can* you use a
dialup line or does it have to be dedicated? Could someone give a
general overview of this?

Thanks

SLIP is part of the new TCP/IP from ISC, and TCP/IP is available
separately or bundled with the ISC 'ARCHITECH' network packages.
