[comp.unix.i386] Jetroff, troff under SCO-ODT

wengland@stephsf.stephsf.com (Bill England) (08/21/90)

When using Jetroff to print to a Mansman Tally Laser printer I am
having a problem with the last 1/3'rd to 1/4'tr of text ( including
   footers ) being droped off.

   i) It does not happen with all documents.

ii) There are no 'second' pages produced that I would expect to
find if it had run out of printer memory.

iii) A test of the installed memory expantion (under dos on a different
machine) shows that the expansion memory is working.

My question; Is there some sort of Unix limit to the max number of
chars that can be sent through the parallel port? Could my troff
software be running out of memory without letting me know about it?

: Software is Leverage from Urban Applied Science
   : Unix Sys V SCO-ODT

   Thanks for any help,
