A friend of mine without net access (now, but if you can help, that will change!) asked me to see if I could find a PD uugetty replacement for his 386/ix system. The one he was supplied with does not work properly for some reason. He is using a Supra Modem (external 2400) and a generic 386sx motherboard. I don't know very much about his setup, but I that the same hardware worked fine when he was running running Xenix/286 on the 386sx board. Can anyone help? Something else, I don't know if this would have anything to do with his problem, but when I dial his system, I have to hit return before I get the login prompt and when I end a session with a Ctrl-D or exit, his machine doesn't not drop carrier. I can hit a key and get another login prompt. Thanks in advance. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Reginald Reed -- Struggling Computer Science Student -- Does Bo Know Comp Sci??
