[net.auto] Remoting an Escort radar detector

laced in an out-of the
way place, like the radiator grill; how would this affect
		performance?

How large is the cable connecting the remote detector with the
		rest of the unit?

I have installed my Escort in the grill and have been very pleased with
the results. It still has all the sensitivity I need -- even for radar
signals coming from the rear.

I had to open up the unit and attach wires to the warning light and the
speaker. I connected the wires from the speaker to the stereo with an
automatic gain control to make the Escort's warning louder when I am
listening to loud music. The wires from the light control an LED on the
dash.

Remember to protect the unit very carefully from water and flying
objects. Use only RF transparent material for this (i.e. thin plastic)
