[sci.environment] Remote Sensing/ Aerial Photography of birds

gls@hare.cdc.com (gl sprandel) (02/05/91)

If anyone has experiences using remote sensing (aerial
photography, radar, satellite, ..) in surveying/censusing
bird populations or nesting I would be interested in hearing about them.
(or if you have any interesting references)
I have recently become interested in this, and am writing a term paper.
Here in Minnesota aerial surveys have been used both for migrating bald eagles
and eagle nesting studies.
