Just how much does a Sidewinder need ? Is a switch in the cockpit that says "FIRE" enough ? Is this alleged Sidewinder installation really possible, or is it something the game manufacturer rationalized becuase they didn't have any flight data for Stingers ? or are we being too technical. Actually, I have heard that the fire control systems for Sidewinders are extremly simple, and it is all carried onboard the missle. All that is needed is an interface into the pilots (or gunners) headset that will allow them to hear the Sidewinders lockon tone. The actual mounting might be a small problem...However, I'm sure a good maintenance crew could aquire a spare F-16 mounting...Of course, this is all just from my memory, and it is entirly possible that I could be thinking of the Stinger control system...
