From: gahooten@ames.arc.nasa.gov I can guess tactically what Sagger Overwatch is, but can someone give a detailded description of what it was, and how it might have changed with the modern advancements, i.e. putting airplanes into the gig, and combined services. Thanks Greg.

Herbert) The general tactic is to leave some large portion of your force (half) in a overwatch position where they can react to anything fired at the moving half while you are moving on the offensive. Using combined arms and aircraft: Helicopters, Infantry etc: you just keep some back where they can see and react Aircraft: don't really work well with this kind of requirement.
