The USS VINCENNES is in Portland, Oregon, at the sea wall
at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, docking there Thursday, May 11
staying until at least Monday at 4PM. Tours are open
Saturday Sunday and Monday from 1PM to 4PM.

The USS VINCENNES is in Portland in a joint Navy-Oregon school
system "just say no to drugs" campaign with the crew and school
children participating in a rally and march on Friday....

Capt. Will C. Rogers III, quote "who was skipper of the Vincennes
when it was in Portland for the Rose Festival in 1987, is
scheduled to relinquish command later this month." unquote.

The ship's arrival was met by 75 onlookers, "Naval Investigative
Service officers", and only one 'foreign policy' protestor...
	without incident.
....end of article... on local TV, there was footage of the
forward turrent....empty... loading... and swung about on 'target'
There was some footage in CIC, no lighting, just monitor tubes
	glowing.
