From: well!nagle@lll-crg.llnl.gov (John Nagle) It's been suggested in some writings about Soviet naval strategy that the Soviets have the command and control links in place to target naval targets (most likely a carrier battlegroup) with land-based ICBMs, based on naval or satellite reconnisance. Is there any hard information available to indicate that they either have or lack such a capability? Have they ever done exercises to test this capability, for example? John Nagle
