From: military@att.att.com (Bill Thacker) Well, after a refreshing vacation, I'm rip-raring to get back to moderating the group... and naturally, my first day back, I'm greeted with eleven bezillion postings 8-) I'd like to thank Carl once again for filling in for me, and compliment him on a job well done. The break allowed me to clear up a problem with the mailing list, and also to do some research for 50 Years Ago. On the last topic, BTW; I still encourage reader submissions. I've found it quite interesting, for example, simply to scan old newspapers on microfilm; it's very educational (and more than a little fun to see ads for 49-cent lunches !).
