The "50 Years Ago Today" archive site (mcs213k.cs.umr.edu, 131.151.6.11) has
had some system difficulties over the past three weeks or so (one disk
died, etc...). You may not have been able to get through or if you were
able to connect, you may not have been able to access the archive. I
apologize for any inconveinence this may have caused.
All should be OK now. You'll have to cd to "sci.military" after connecting
as "anonyomous". As I write now (early on 10/4), all of Sept. is in
"ww2.09.39.Z" and I have the first 3 days of October out there also.

PS: Just in case you're wondering, mcs213k is a IBM PC/RT Model 135
running AOS 4.3 (BSD 4.3).
