Hitler flies to Warsaw for the victory parade there, as scattered
Polish forces are still being mopped up.

Eight different groups of British and French warships join in hunting
for the Admiral Graf Spee, at large in the South Atlantic, while her
sister ship, Deutschland, sinks the SS Stonegate in the North Atlantic.

The Soviet Union and Latvia sign a Mutual Assistance Pact, and Soviet
troops occupy that nation.

In France, 26 Communist members of the Chamber of Deputies are arrested.
