The United States captured the Ble Ribband for the U.S. by setting a transatlantic speed record. Unfortunately, the ship is (or was, until recently) tied up to a pier in Baltimore, waiting for the scrap cutters torch. Rumor has it that it may be made into a floating hotel (a' la the Queen Mary).
