[mod.note: I almost rejected this by a simple criterion; if I don't
know what an abbreviation stands for, neither will many of the the
readers. But then, I figured anyone who could help Al would know
what the blazes a DI is. - Bill ]

I am looking for a source to by some DI's. I am a collector of WWII
thru Korea militaria and am looking for a couple of different pairs
of DI's for some uniforms I own. If anyone out there in netland can
give me some ideas where I might be able to purchase them, I would
really appreciate the info. If anyone has any uniforms or medals
they would like to sell, I would be interested in talking with you.
  Please reply by e-mail.

I assume DI's means 'distinctive insignia'. A year or so ago, I got the names
of some places here in New York which sell these- I have >not< purchased
anything at these places, so I do not vouch for them. But:

		Kaufman's
Don't know exact address, but probably in the 40's or on
			8th Avenue

		Gateway Hobby
		West 38th street

		Traders
		Canal Street

Or try the Naval Historical Society, in Washington DC.

Good luck!

Chris
