From: thomas matzat <matzatt@silver.ucs.indiana.edu> Has anyone else heard anything about Congress thinking about re-mothballing the USS Iowa and USS New Jersey? I think it has something to do with cutting costs. If the U.S. Navy wants to save some money, I think it would be a better idea to mothball/scrap 4-6 old SSBN's. Not only would that save some money, but it would send a positive signal to the Soviet Union.
