From: hhm@cbnewsd.ATT.COM (herschel.h.mayo) I seem to recall that gravity missles were used as early as WWI, and as late as Vietnam. They were simply a tiny lead bomb about the size of a 45 slug. They were stabilized with tiny tin fins. Bundles of these were dropped from high altitude over enemy positions. The effect was considerable on any poor individual caught out in the open. I have even seen these things for sale in several surplus stores. Larry Mayo
