I am looking for good introductory texts on (1) naval architecture and
(2) sonar performance. I don't want books that are too simplistic, but
then I don't want too much math beyond simple calculus and
differential equations.

The naval architecture book should be slanted towards military ships
and deal with such concepts as gas turbines, electric propuslsion,
SWATH, and modular ship design (eg MEKO 200 class). For some reason,
there don't seem to be very many books on sonar and sonar performance.
By comparison, radar books seem to be much more common.

Can anyone recommend books on those topics?
