[net.auto] Considering ANOTHER American Car: A Query

tomcik@hocda.UUCP (J.D.TOMCIK) (04/11/84)

Since I have had good experience with my 1977 Trans-Am, I am again
thinking about buying a 1984 model. This is simply due to the fact
that a second car is needed, not that the '77 is dying. Since I
bought my last one, however, the car has been re-designed so
completely that I can't really judge the quality of the new version.
My initial reaction is that the car is still a good product,BUT
I know looks can be deceiving.

If any of you have good or bad experiences with the newer models,
I would like to hear of them. Also, for those of you in New Jersey,
which Pontiac dealers are the best (or worst) to go to? Who is
willing to deal? How much? Any replies will be welcome. If there's
general interest, I'll summarize responses to the net in a couple weeks.
TIA...
