From: gardiner%LOCAL@cs.umn.edu (David Gardiner) Does anyone know how old a design the F-117A is? From the photographs, it looks relatively old. Is there any evidence that there is a newer stealth fighter (F-19?) and that the Air Force released information on the F-117A simply to reduce speculation?

A rumor to the effect that there is a second gen stealth fighter flying has been going around for a while now, but there's no way to tell...[people who deal in black programs are usually pretty quiet]. -george
