While Soviet attacks toward Viipuri continue to gain ground, north
of Lake Ladoga, Finnish troops launch a final assault against the camp
of the encircled and starving 34th Tank Brigade. Over 100 tanks and
200 other vehicles are captured.

London suggests to the Finnish Legation that Kermit Roosevelt, son of
Theodore Roosevelt, be placed in charge of the British volunteers in that
country. Roosevelt became a British subject last fall when he enlisted
in that country's army, and resigned his Major's commission 3 weeks ago
for service in Finland.

The British government acts to limit Jewish aquisition of Arab land
in Palestine.

The U.S. House of Representatives approves a $20 million credit advance for
Finland. A compromise measure between the House and Senate versions of the
bill is expected to reach the President's desk this weekend.
