From: news@SEAS.UCLA.EDU (News Account) previous net postings were not leaving the site, so here goes. From: yee@edison.seas.ucla.edu (John Yee/;093090;eegrad) 1) Does anyone out there know how the B-29 gun control system took care of parallax? 2) What if anything is done about corrosion taking place under the anechoic tiles on our submarines? Thanks, yee@seas.ucla.edu

COrrosion is caused by one of several conditions; the most common being dissimilar metals in electrical contact both structurally and through water or some other external path. WHen you put anechroic insulation on the outside, it also breaks the external path and prevents any of this type of corrosion. This is not sure fire, but tends to happen. ******************************************************************************* George William Herbert JOAT For Hire: Anything, Anywhere: My Price UCB Naval Architecture undergrad: Engineering with a Bouyant Attitude :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- gwh@ocf.berkeley.edu ||||||||||| "What do I have to do to convince you?"-Q gwh@soda.berkeley.edu ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| "Die."-Worf maniac@garnet.berkeley.edu||"Very good, Worf.
