-- Owners of late model GM cars with T-Tops: I have just ordered an '84 Pontiac Trans-Am without a T-Top. I didn't order this option because I thought that T-Tops leaked, rattled, etc. I have about a week to change my mind and get this option included in the order. To help make my decision, I would like to hear if you are experiencing any problems and if you would order another car with a T-Top. Please respond via mail. Your input is appreciated. I have a 1980 Turbo Trans Am with the T tops and have had absolutely no problems with them amazingly enough!! The only time I was unhappy was when a friend helped wax the car and got wax all over the rubber seals since we had the tops out at the time. The damn things squeaked until I removed the wax and got the rubber clean. But they don't leak and are quiet as long as the rubber seal is clean. I think the reason for that is that the rubber will stick to the glass when both are clean but if lubricated in some fashion as with wax the two move around and voila......les squeeks!
