Is there anyone out in netland with a VW rabbit (or equivalent) with any experience on clutch longevity and repair. I would be curious to know how long the clutch lasts and what the approximate cost to replace it is. I have a 79 rabbit with 85K miles and no obvious signs of trouble (i.e. it doesn't slip and the pedal clearance hasn't deteriorated noticably), but would be curious to know from someone who has had to have one replaced what the general experience is.
