[sci.military] More about NOVA

When I got home last night I realized that there was another episode of
NOVA that might be of interest to the group. The episode was called
"Eyes in the Skies" and was about (loosely) photo recon.
It started out with a discussion (for lack of a better word) of
photographers in balloons during the civil war. Then progressed (rapidly,
due to the shows running time of 1 hour) to planes then satellites.
Did anyone else see this? What are your comments?
In my opinion the show broke no new ground. Most of what they showed
has been covered before (ref. Burrows, Bamford, et al). But it was nice to
be able to visualize them subject instead of reading about it.
Although the show was dedicated to photo recon - there is a whole
lot of interesting stuff (both information to be gathered and devices
to gater it) in the rest of the E-M spectrum.
I am new to this group, so forgive me if this topic has already
been discussed. I am just trying to start a thread on my favorite
topic.
