I read where several Su-27s went to an air show in Oklahoma recently. Several
days later I read about an Su-26? crashing out of a stall maneuver at the
Oklahoma air show. Can anyone flesh this report out?
I have a copy of 'Trade-a-Plane'. There are some amazing planes for sale;
F100 Super Sabre, F-104G Starfighter, Folland Gnat, etc. These are fully
operational planes [well, no armaments]. Besides having a half million
or more to spend, are there any requirements for buying these planes?
>From watching Wings, I gather that the F-104, in particular, is not the plane
to use as a jet trainer.

The crash was an Su-26, a dedicated aerobatic plane designed by Sukhoi. There were two Su-27's present: one single-seat and one UB two-seat trainer. -- Randy J. From: "Ami A. Silberman" <silber@cs.uiuc.edu> The Su-26 is a civilian acrobatics airplane (designed, one would presume, to gain hard currency). I believe it is a biplane. The airshows organizer for the past several years had one (perhaps the only one in the US) and participated in various shows. From the video, it appears that he crashed when he lost control during a stall. This occured on the last day of the show, at the very end. (I was in OKC at the time.)
