From: "DAVID W. SHUEE" <shuee@venus.iucf.indiana.edu> The "K's" were bought mostly before Vietnam and in the early stages of the war. The gun is a basic open bolt smg. There are lot's of them on the world market. The Smith and Wesson model 76 supplemented the "K". The S&W 76 is rare but more avalible in the US. The basic differance is that the S&W has a semi stop on the selector. These guns were chosen because they would work after having been in the water for a long time. If you want to see one of these guns up close look in the phone book under gundealers or police supplies and see if you can find mention of *classIII* or * titleII* these people are machinegun dealers and may have one in stock. shuee@venus.iucf.indiana.edu
