[sci.military] Searching for "relics"

A couple of potentially strange, and somewhat difficult requests:

I'll start with the "easy" one...

For historical reasons with the air museum (local wing of the CAF, as
well as connections to other museums) I work with, I am searching for
copies of "Esquire" magazines from October 1940 through 1946. These
magazines contained artwork, particularly of Varga. These paintings
were routinely used as nose-art on many aircraft. The B-25 that we
are nearly finished restoring was part of a bomb wing that heavily
used Varga artwork. They are seeking to build a complete set, if
possible, of Esquires from this time. If you have some in your attic
and they're of no value to you, I'll take them off your hands. If
they're of value, I can arrange for a tax deductible charitable
contribution (for full value). If that's not worthwhile, let me know
what they're worth to you in cash. Even one magazine helps the
collection.

Now for the toughie... :-)

For personal desires, I wish to retrieve and duplicate the military
uniform worn by my father during WWII. The trick is that he served in
the Norwegian Army. After the German invasion, the uniforms went into
hiding, but returned on the day of the German withdrawal. Unfortunately,
the uniforms were property of the Norwegian government, and had to be
surrendered when you left service.

Since then, that style uniform has been replaced, and they were all
put out to pasture. There's no doubt that someone has collected a
number of them. Demand for something of this nature is extremely low,
so searches locally and further out have revealed nothing much more
than strange looks.

I don't expect anyone to have one, or to have a local shop that has
one on a rack, but I'm hoping someone might know of a contact, or a
place, that just might. I have all the embellishments, and it would
be a nice addition to the personal statement of thanks from the King.

Thanks in advance for the little response I expect... :-)
