I've been enjoying the series Wings for several months now, thanks to
those of you who have introduced me to it here in sci.military.
One of the things that the show has brought to my attention is the large
number of great designs made under the guidance of Kelly Johnson.
Does anyone know of a biography about him? How about any history of flight
books that might cover the work he did at Lockheed? Yes, I can read about
the planes that he designed but I'd like to get an idea of what made him
different from others engineers of his time
Another unrelated question, does anyone know who performed for the soundtrack
used in Wings? Several of the pieces sound like something I have heard
somewhere else before.
