During the tour, a vehicle was pointed out to me as being a recovery vehicle for M1s that GD proposed but never sold to the Army. Since the M1 is so much heavier than previous tanks, just what does the Army plan on using if one of these wonders (the M1) actually becomes disabled in the field (desert?) ?
