How many transport planes would be required to move
one division with heavy equipment to a remote area
of the world (such as Saudi Arabia), in one day?

The "Pax Britannica" was based largely on British
seapower. It seems to me we could be entering a "Pax
Americana" period, based on American air power (assuming
enough air transport capability is developed to quickly
move sufficient force to remote trouble spots).

Hope this isn't too political for this group.
