From: <ames!ames!claris!portal!cup.portal.com!hkhenson@uunet.UU.NET> Been hearing on TV how the troups about croak from the heat if they have to put on chemical suits. Suggestion: the miners in the deep South African mines where the air is 150 degrees or hotter have been using CO2 cooling for years. What they have is a vest with many little pockets. They fill the pockets with little bars of dry ice and put on an insulating coat--to keep the heat out! Then they go shovel up the gold ore. Seems to me this would work well for the troups as well, another logistic item, but in some cases the improved performance of the troups might be worth it. hkhenson@cup.portal.com
