The Luftwaffe withdraws most of its two-engined bombers from service over
England; only the fastest Ju 88's are to be used. Bombing is now performed
by Me 109's and 110's.

Further RAF raids are launched at Berlin, but score little success due to
bad weather over Europe.

1200 British soldiers are delivered to Malta by the cruisers HMS
Gloucester and Liverpool.

Finland and Germany conclude an agreement granting Germany exclusive use
of Finnish nickel resources. The terms also include German-Finnish arms
trade.
